Solar!! That's what is on my mind. We have a solar contract that is almost 10 years old with a company called Spruce Power. They are the most frustrating company I have ever dealt with.
Billing this month was 633.00 , for April! They refused to send anyone out to check the system because obviously it is producing. It is over producing!! Plus we have a secondary system that we pay a consistent amount monthly.
I have contacted Public Utilities Commissioner, no help there, don't have resources for an attorney, so frustrating and stressful!!
Spruce is my mom's solar company in Long Island, NY. We informed them well in advance about selling the house and asked how to transfer the lease on the solar panels. They had assured of a simple process, but it's been nearly 2 months of waiting to close.
That is the only holdup despite meeting all their requirements. Mom is stuck in a maze of inconsistent information from different reps, sometimes even within the same call! Our lawyer/escrow agent has also reached out by phone and email, and we cannot set the close date without the lease transferred to the buyer.
